#JAVASCRIPT YOU DONT KNOW JS HOW TO#
There should be more suggestions here, but I am still a noob. Like other books in the You Dont Know JS series, this & Object Prototypes dives into trickier parts of the language that many JavaScript programmers simply. Well organized and easy to understand Web building tutorials with lots of examples of how to use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, Python, PHP, Bootstrap, Java. Also take a look at DOM Enlightenment (although outdated a bit). įor noobs like me I would suggest you do the projects of Eloquent JS, to see some heavy (at least for me) oo programming.

It will take a lot of time for you to read it completely (the whole set totals 1000 pages). This is a series of books diving deep into the core mechanisms of the JavaScript language. My background of programming before that was just functions, if statements, and loops ( no classes, no async, no objects, no events ).

It was the first book in js that I started to read and I honestly do not regret that. I am reading it since almost the start of this year, daily. I have almost read (non linearly) 60% of it. For example Eloquent JS made me be extremely confused about some async concepts, but when I read the first two chapters (and currently 3 and 4) in and ASYNC & PERFORMANCE everything cleared. I have found no other book that is so close to being up to date and so thorough. Addeddate 10:03:40 Identifier you-don-t-know-js202008 Identifier-ark ark:/13960/t9b65mn66 Ocr ABBYY FineReader 11. Its like it is the book that you must read If you want to claim that you some solid understanding of js. I feel like it (i.e the whole set of books) is the bible of js in some sense, although a bit outdated.

I would like to know your input on why it is most suggested book when someone asks to get better with Js With the You Don’t Know JS book series, you’ll get a more complete understanding of JavaScript, including trickier parts of the language that many experienced JavaScript programmers simply avoid. After googling I find many developers suggesting that book. Author: Kyle Simpson Pages: 281 Year: 2020 Language: EN Added. Although I am a noob in web dev generally speaking, I will tell you my noobish opinion. You Dont Know JS Yet: Scope & Closures (2nd Edition) Scope & Closures examines all aspects of lexical scope, then builds on these principles to leverage the power of closure, and finally digs into the module pattern for better program structure.
